Last month, the American Institutes for Research released the English Language Proficiency Standards for Adult Education. These standards should help inform the instruction we provide by ensuring that the content of the lessons we teach match the standards. The report also includes information on how the standards correlate with College and Career Readiness standards for Language Arts and Literacy, and Mathematical and Science Practices.
