Today we’re highlighting team member Lindsey Arasanagi!

Lindsey is a music lover, people lover, mom of one human child and two fur babies, and our Service Programs Senior Manager.

Lindsey believes “Enhancing literacy and knowledge within our community is one of the most sustainable ways to provide opportunities for families and individuals to be successful, better their quality of living, and feel empowered.” With a background in social work and community services, Lindsey also shared “Literacy and education is one of the top things that can hold individuals and families back from achieving their goals.”

Lindsey rises to this challenge each day as she leads our Texas Family Literacy AmeriCorps initiative. Lindsey supports our partners and AmeriCorps members to empower Central Texans through literacy, enabling them to accomplish their goals and move into sustaining careers.

In her free time, Lindsey enjoys connecting with nature. She believes, “it’s important to find your way to meditate and ground yourself each day, to be in tune with the great opportunities that the world has to offer us.” Lindsey is also an avid traveler who loves meeting people and experiencing new things.

One of Lindsey’s mottos is: Never see a person as the last mistake or negative experience you’ve known of or had with them. “If the world looked at me that way, what a sad place it would be!” Lindsey shared.

We’re so glad to have you on our team, Lindsey!
