“Adult Education Teacher Competencies,” published by LINCS and the American Institute for Research, provides a comprehensive set of competencies for adult educators across four domains:
- Monitors and manages student learning and performance through data
- Plans and delivers high-quality, evidence-based instruction.
- Effectively communicates to motivate and engage learners
- Pursues professionalism and continually builds knowledge and skills
Each domain is further broken down into several competencies, along with performance indicators and examples for each competency so programs and instructors can determine the effectiveness of their instruction and make improvements, as necessary.
